Natural Hair Product Review: Hollywood Beauty Carrot Creme

I was looking for a good daily moisturizer. I saw the Carrot Creme on another blogger's blog, and I decided to try it.
Cost: I paid $3.49 at a local beauty supply store.

The ingredients are as follows: Delonized Water, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Soybean Oil, Stearic Acid, Ceterareth 20, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Imidazolidyni Urea, Carot Oil, Hydolyzed Keratin Protein, Vitamin A (Palmitate), Vitamin C (Asorbic Acid), Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Carrot Extract (Beta Carotene), L-Cystine, Panthenol (Vitamin B), Peanut Oil, Arginine, Horsetail Extract."

 Application:
I've used this product on my hair right after washing and applying essential oil to my hair. It worked fine. I've found that this product works better on damp hair. On the back of the container, it is suggested that you use the product daily and style with the "HOLLYWOOD BOAR BRISTLE BRUSHES". However, I only use the Gabriela brush on my hair. I haven't tried using any brush with this product on my hair.

My hair would be fine after washing, conditioning, and using the product on my damp hair. However, after using the product the product the first the 2nd day, it would leave flakes in my hair. I guess this is why they recommend using a brush with it. This could have also been because used Coconut Oil on my hair before hand. I'm not sure. But, I was not happy with that because it would make my hair look dirty.

Consistency:

The Carot Creme has a light and creamy consistency and pleasant fragrance. I had to use a large amount of the product, on each section (pineapple) of my hair. So, the jar goes go very fast..

In all I give this product a C- . It was a good product. But, it didn't work for me to well because I used another product beforehand.

  4. Always follow product instructions. I have very thick hair. I love this product! I've never used a brush but it's obvious the great nothing results I'd get of I do. It's a great moisturizer and I'd even pay a couple dollars more for it. I think the coconut oil is what caused your flakes. I use Gravesend or safflower oil and they work great with it, not that they're needed, just preferred. This will always be a staple for me. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
