If you wash and twist your hair before bedtime, you may wake up with damp hair. I have found a technique that may work for you...
Put your hair in 3-4 sections and big clip each section. You can remove the clips and smooth your hair from root to tip (to remove some of the dampness), about 20-30 minutes before you leave. After you've finished getting ready, you can remove the clips from the hair, separate, fluff. This method works 8 out of 10 times for me.
