Let God, Be God in Your Life

I will be taking these twists out between today and tomorrow.

Happy Sunday everyone!
I hope that you all are enjoying your evening. God has been pressing on my heart to talk about the topic of letting Him be God in our lives. We may go through trials and tribulations with no solution in sight. Sometimes, we may feel like we need to figure things out; we need to solve our own problems. That is not what God wants for us. He wants us to come to Him with our issues... The size of the problem is no match for the Almighty!

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

After we make our requests (in faith) and thank God in advance, we should experience peace and joy in the midst of chaos. The joy comes from Him.  Praise Him!

 1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
When we let go of our issues and let God be God in our lives, we let Him fight our battles. You may have people attempting to come against us, but you will find that God will put people and things in place so that their efforts will not prosper. He will even use it for your own good :-) I know because I have been there.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. 
The battles in our lives are not a result of the physical things that we see. There is a spiritual war going on and God will fight our battles. We just need to be still...

Exodus 14:14
The Lord shall fight for you,and ye shall hold your peace.

Ephesians 3:10
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 
 
Whatever you are going through, take it to the Lord. If you need guidance to decide your next move, take it to the Lord. If you need healing, take it to the Lord. If you are simply tired and need peace, take it to the Lord. He is the answer!  
John 4:16
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Priscilla Shirer Shares Her Natural Hair Story and Tips on IG Live!

Actress and minister of Going Beyond Ministries Priscilla Shirer shared her natural hair story and secrets on IG Live today. After receiving numerous questions about her long thick natural hair, she decided it was time to do a video. Shirer said, "I've decided that sometimes, to a woman, hair = ministry." Shirer started getting a perm at about 13 years old. During previous years, her mother would use the hot comb to straighten her hair. When Shirer was 24 years old, she noticed a circular patch of hair that had broken off on the side of her head. After she visited a doctor and they plucked a few strands from different parts of her hair, the doctor concluded that Shirer's hair was growing in healthy.
