Aaliyah fans all around the world are rejoicing! Yesterday, MAC Cosmetics announced there will be an Aaliyah MAC cosmetics line that will launch the summer of 2018.

The company made the exciting announcement on social media. They said, "Aaliyah is truly one in a million -- an unstoppable icon whose groundbreaking work in R&B music inspires us all. Today we join her countless fans in celebrating her with the announcement of the MAC collection Aaliyah Collection. You made it happen! Stay tune in 2018."

MAC Cosmetics entered into a partnership with the Haughton's, Aaliyah's family. The announcement of the MAC Aaliyah Collection was made a day before the 16th anniversary of the late singer's death. Aaliyah passed away in a plane crash on August 25, 2001.

Two years ago, Aaliyah fan Jennifer Risinger started a petition with Change.org to honor Aaliyah with an Estée Lauder company line. In November of 2016, Aaliyah's brother Rashad Haughton showed his support of the petition by retweeting it. The petition gained a total of 26, 218 supporters.








In her petition, Risinger requested items like lipstick, lip glosses, and eyeliners be included in the MAC Aaliyah Collection. There's been no word on the specifics of the line, but we'll stay tuned!

Priscilla Shirer Shares Her Natural Hair Story and Tips on IG Live!

Actress and minister of Going Beyond Ministries Priscilla Shirer shared her natural hair story and secrets on IG Live today. After receiving numerous questions about her long thick natural hair, she decided it was time to do a video. Shirer said, "I've decided that sometimes, to a woman, hair = ministry." Shirer started getting a perm at about 13 years old. During previous years, her mother would use the hot comb to straighten her hair. When Shirer was 24 years old, she noticed a circular patch of hair that had broken off on the side of her head.
