4th of July Clip and Ribbons Natural Hairstyle

4th of July Clip and Ribbons Natural Hairstyle

Happy 4th of July, my blessed naturals!
Today, I am wearing my hair in a 4th of July themed natural hair style! Last night, I did the rubber band cornrow and twist updo. This time, I used 1 1/2 feet long white ribbon and a flower clip I wore on this day in 2013. The style was done on stretched hair and took about 3.5 hours to complete.

1BlessedNatural: This is how my hair looked after removing the bands. My hair is almost back to normal from moisture overload.

1BlessedNatural: the ribbon twisted on one side

1. After twisting the ribbon with the twists on one side of my hair, the twists were bought to the back and tucked under to create a small bun. Bobby pins were used to secure it. The remainder of the untwisted ribbon was left hanging on the other side.

1BlessedNatural: here's another pic of how my hair looks half way through...

 2. I took the ribbon on the other side and two-strand twisted it with the twists, tucked them under, and secured them with bobby pins.

 4. There was space between the two sections, so I added a red, white, and blue flower clip.

That is it! If you are in the south, then you might be experiencing rain like me (sad face). Hopefully it won't wash out your plans!

What natural hairstyle are you wearing for the 4th of July weekend?
