2 Protective Styles with Marley Hair

1BlessedNatural: 2 Protective Styles with Maryley Hair

Hey, my blessed naturals,
Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there! I feel like it's been so long since I've spoken to you all! I haven't been in the mood to do my hair every day, and I know you can relate!

I've always wanted to do different protective styles using Marley and Kanekelon hair, and that's what I've been doing lately. The half halo braids took about a pack and a half of hair. The twists below took about 5 or 6 packs of hair. I used about 5 sections of Marley hair for each twist.

Style Info

My styles last from 5-14 days. I usually style on freshly washed and stretched hair. My staple products are Eco Styler gel, rubber bands, and bobby pins. One of the biggest questions I get asked about marley hair is if you can wash it, and the answer is yes. I will talk more about it in a future article.

Washing the hair can save you money. Each pack of hair is about $5.00. It might not be a lot, but why spend the money if it's not necessary?

Don't be afraid to experiment with the hair. There's times where I style my hair and take it out because I don't like it. That was the case with the style below. I had the braids pinned up in a different way in the beginning. That's why the hair is a little frizzy.

Braids: I used Vanessa Marley Kanekalon braiding hair

Twists: I used the 3X Expression Carribean Braids Hair from the Janet Collection
