Update on C's Natural Hair!

Hey, my blessed naturals!
It's been almost 1 year since I've given you all an update on C's natural hair. Last May, she removed her wig and rocked natural hairstyles. Although she had Traction Alopecia along her edges, she was determined to move past it. When we did her last length check, C's hair was about 1 inch away from bra strap length. Sadly, C. has lost about 1 1/2 inches in length since that time. Her hair is still long though. Here are pics of her length check for May 2013 and April 2014:

In the April 2014 picture, C's hair was flat ironed. She has flat ironed her hair 3 times in the 3 years she has been natural. C believes her hair breakage is due to over manipulation, especially the "hand in hair" syndrome. When her hair is out, she always twirls her hair around her fingers. Because her hair is so fine, it easily dries out. Her hair regimen is very simple. C uses water and Coconut Oil to moisturize and seal her hair. As far as products, C says she only needs a good shampoo, conditioner, and co-washing conditioner. She has already began using wigs as her protective styling choice. C says she will keep the wigs on for the next 6 months to gain about 2 inches of length.
