Babyface Throws Some Hilarious Shade with Toni Braxton Impression in "Waiting to Exhale" Promo Video!

Update VIDEO ADDED: If you're going to "write" a song for Toni Braxton, apparently you need to hold water in your mouth while you sing and play your instrument according to Babyface. In a hilarious video promoting the May 24th "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack celebration on Instagram Live, the singer/songwriter did a Toni Braxton impression while singing "Let It Flow"!

Babyface said this:

First, you need a glass of water. I prefer bottled water but in a pinch, I will use tap water. Second, take a sip and swallow. But, leave a little at the bottom of your mouth. This way, they won't completely understand the words you're singing. Third, sing with lots of emotion. I don't know...like say somebody just stole your brand new puppy."

Smh, you're not right, Babyface! 🀣

Afterward, the producer sings in his Toni Braxton voice! Too funny. Braxton and Babyface have a long musical history together. Braxton's debut album "Toni Braxton" was on LaFace Records owned by Babyface and LA Reid. Through the years, they have collaborated on a number of songs. In 2014, Babyface and Toni Braxton released the album Love, Marriage, and Divorce.

Braxton's sister Tamar also got in on the action in another video when she also sang "Let It Go" in her best Toni Braxton voice. In our opinion, she nailed it! She deemed it the Toni Braxton Challenge.

It's all love!

The iconic "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack which was written and produced by Babyface debuted on November 14, 1995. The soundtrack includes songs from a star-studded list including Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Faith, Patti Labelle, Chantae Moore, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, CeCe Winans, Chaka Khan, Shanna, and Sonja Marie.

On December 16, 1995, the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack peaked at number one on the Billboard charts. Toni Braxton's "Let It Flow" spent 18 weeks on the charts and peaked at the 12th position on April 27th, 1996. In 1997, it won a Grammy for Best Song "Shoop, Shoop" by the late great Whitney Houston and written by Babyface.
