Breonna Taylor Law Passed But Her Killers Are Still Free?

Breonna Taylor
On March 13th, 26-year-old EMT worker Breonna Taylor was shot and killed in her home by three officers of the Louisville Metro Police Department. Today, Beyonce penned an open letter to the Kentucky Attorney General Cameron demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. It's a sad and frustrating thing to see that all of this time has passed and still no justice has been served!

Last Thursday, "Breonna's Law" was passed by the Louisville Metro Council banning no-knock warrants, but still, Taylor's killers are free. Why do we have to keep demanding for justice to be served when it should already be done? Officers Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove fired a total of 22 shots and 8 of them hit Breonna Taylor.

In a video by the organization Until Freedom, Breonna's mother Tamika Palmer said, "Some days I feel like I can't breathe without her. This should not happen to another family. I am Breonna Taylor's mother. Say Her Name."
