next day after trim |
Happy Good Friday everyone!
The Lord is good :-)
If you have reay my previous posts, then you know that it was time for me to trim the ends of my hair. I've tried trimming my hair while it was wet. However, I cut off more than I needed.
Hair Banding to Prepare for Trim
This time, I stretched my hair using the banding technique. Then I took each section out of the band (while it was a bit damp) and divided them into smaller sections. I applied the Shea Butter & Green Tea Moisturizer by Softsheen Carson and Coconut Oil to the section, and trimmed a small amount of hair off the ends. Afterwards, I applied a small amount of Coconut Oil to each section and re-banded my hair. Because my ends were not split, I did not need to trim off much. I had a lot of single strand knots (ssk) and tangles that signaled a much needed trim.
One Night Later...
My hair was so soft that it straightened out like I had blown it out. I also think that if I did a roller set and let my hair dry, it would come out better than
last time. I will try that some time in the future.
I'm glad to hear somebody else make this observation about their hair. When the hair is wonderfully moisturized, it straightens out a bit and is VERY soft. This happens to me all the time. I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one. LOL!!
