Missy Elliot Writes Positive Message to Fans

Today, Missy Elliot wrote a positive message to her fans on social media. In her caption, the entertainer talked about how words could uplift you when you're having a bad day. She also posted a video of her writing on paper, and her nails were FIRE! She had all types of jewels on them, but back to the message. She said, "If you are having a rough day I just want to say I think you are amazing." Elliot has been writing uplifting messages on social media since 2017. 

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA,) depression occurs in women more than men. In a study reported by Psychology Today in 2016, there was a link found between social media and depression. These statistics highlight the importance of Missy Elliot's positive messages.

Because of her many accomplishments as an entertainer, Missy Elliot was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in January of this year.

She received a round of applause, and Sharon Osbourne commented that her Teenie Weenie Afro (TWA) was gorgeous. Underwood explained to her fellow co-hosts and audience that she'd done something wrong 2 years ago when she spoke against the actions of Heidi Klum for keeping her sons' Afro hair in a bag as a keepsake. Priscilla Shirer Shares Her Natural Hair Story and Tips on IG Live!

Actress and minister of Going Beyond Ministries Priscilla Shirer shared her natural hair story and secrets on IG Live today. After receiving numerous questions about her long thick natural hair, she decided it was time to do a video. Shirer said, "I've decided that sometimes, to a woman, hair = ministry." Shirer started getting a perm at about 13 years old. During previous years, her mother would use the hot comb to straighten her hair. When Shirer was 24 years old, she noticed a circular patch of hair that had broken off on the side of her head.
