3 Quick Alternatives to Bedtime Twists

Many of us naturals twist our hair before bedtime. But, what happens when you don't feel like twisting your hair and you want to keep your hair stetched, detangled, wavy, and/or curly? Here are 3 ways you can quickly style your hair before bedtime without having to sit and install several twists: After moisturizing and sealing, you can...

1. Pineappling

The Pineapple hair method is when you put your natural hair in ponytails to keep your curls without the need to retwist. I do not use the Pineapple method often. But, when I do use it, I section my hair my hair into 4 ponytails. You may decrease or increase the amount based on your hair's length and thickness.

2. Bunning
Bunning is a good method to use before bedtime because you can put your hair in a ponytail and swirl the hair around the base of the ponytail holder to keep it stretched. I like to do 4 buns. After putting the ponytail holders on my hair, I usually two-strand twist the hair and twirl it around the base.

3. Banding

The Banding hair method is method that I love to use. It involves sectioning your hair and applying bands to each section, all the way to the ends or right above them. You can also pin the banded sections down to get a more stretched look. You can also use this method to keep your twists from shrinking during the night.

One Final Note...

Pineappling, Bunning, and Banding are all quick and easy ways to prepare your natural hair before bedtime. They save you time, frustration, and hassle of needing to retwist your hair.
