Yesterday, singer Chrisette Michele posted a hair rant on social media. She is known to switch up her look often, and I love that about her. However, Ms. Michele revealed that not everyone has been happy about her hair decisions. She said when she went natural in 2012 people on social media didn't like it.
Since then, she has changed her hairstyle numerous times and caught flak for it. In her rant, Chrisette expressed the effects of the negativity on celebrities when she said,"'Fan' opinions can traumatize any celebrity. I'm sure that is why many quit. (Talk about therapy bills)." Chrisette Michele's hair rant represents the struggle that many celebrities and other people face by trying to please everyone.
At the end of her hair rant, Chrisette Michelle expressed that she is now determined to style her hair the way she wants without worrying about what others will think. Her current style includes a straight hairstyle. She said,"It will continue to change. So will opinions." The R&B singer concluded with some advice by saying, "So simmer the eff down and do your own hair. I obviously love doing mine!" I hear that, girl! Continue to style your hair the way YOU want!
