TWA: Stretching Natural Hair with Rubber Bands

TWA: Stretching Natural Hair with Rubber Bands Bands

Happy Wednesday, my blessed naturals!
I hope you all are enjoying your week. I've been wearing TWA in two cornrows and a puff. I know a lot of people don't like to use rubber bands because they can cause breakage, but they work for me.

I use them in place of bands to keep my hair stretched after washing it. If you use them, try not to make them too tight or put them too close to your scalp to avoid pulling. You can use the fabric covered ones or small ponytail holders as substitutes for rubber bands. I put the rubber bands on my hair while it's wet and let it air dry.

I let the rubber bands stay in my hair 1-2 days before applying coconut oil and fluffing my hair out.
In order to keep my hair stretched, I do pin curled twists every night using coconut oil and water (in a spray bottle).

Who else is rocking a TWA?
