Leah Still is Too Cute with Her Finger Waves!

Thanksgiving weekend, Leah Still gave us cuteness overload when her dad, former Cincinnati Bengals football player, Devon Still shared a picture of her wearing finger waves on Instagram. Still's caption was this: Leah tried to snap today with the finger waves.its [sic] Thanksgiving so it's only right #LeahStrong..." Still and Leah's mother, Channing Smythe recently received great news that the 5-year-old was cancer-free.

Last year, little Leah was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma affects nerve cells during development and is commonly found in children 5 years of age and younger. Leah Still's father posted updates on her condition through his Instagram account.  She endured many challenges and setbacks but stood strong (#LeahStrong). I admire her strength. Leah lost most of her hair due to chemotherapy treatments. 

The week of Thanksgiving, Devon Still shared the good news of Leah's test results. He said, "Thanks for all the support and prayers! Just got the phone call that her scans showed NED (no evidence of disease)..." I'm glad that he shared her testimony. God is sooo good! Plus, after seeing Leah Still's finger wave photo, I'll say she brought finger waves back! Go Leah!  Her hair was styled by Devon Still's fiancée, Asha Joyce.

Sheryl Underwood Wears Natural Hair and Apologizes on The Talk

1BlessedNatural: Sheryl Underwood Wears Natural Hair and Apologizes on The Talk (photo cred: CBS/The Talk) Yesterday, comedian and talk show host, Sheryl Underwood wore her natural hair onstage of the talk show, The Talk. She received a round of applause, and Sharon Osbourne commented that her Teenie Weenie Afro (TWA) was gorgeous. Underwood explained to her fellow co-hosts and audience that she'd done something wrong 2 years ago when she spoke against the actions of Heidi Klum for keeping her sons' Afro hair in a bag as a keepsake. She said the hair was "nasty." Underwood received backlash for her words, especially from the Black community. They were viewed as examples of self-hatred among other things.
