Happy Wednesday, my blessed naturals!
It's been almost 3 months since my second Big Chop, and I wanted to give you all my summer into fall natural hair regimen for daily and weekly maintenance. The pictures in this post are of my hair after applying products to it.
Daily
1. Spritz with water and apply coconut oil - Because it's still hot in the south, I can sometimes go 2 or 3 days before I need to do this.
2. Fluff my hair out with my fingers- Sometimes, I use a wide tooth comb to lift my hair at the roots and get rid of the parts.
3. Sleep with a satin bonnet or pillow case
Weekly
1. Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse- I mix 1 part ACV mixed with 2 parts water to treat my seborrheic dermatitis. After spraying the mixture on my scalp, I let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Sometimes, I will use a plastic cap. Then, I rinse it out and shampoo my hair.
2. Wash with any shampoo I have available - This usually includes a type of Suave shampoo.
3. Condition - Sadly, I've been slipping on my deep conditions. Most of the time, I let Suave Professionals Shea Butter and Almond sit on my hair for 5-10 minutes and wash it out.
4. Detangle - I use a wide tooth comb.

5. Apply products - I spritz my hair with water and Aunt Jackie's "Knot On My Watch" Detangler, Cantu Curl Activator, and 100% coconut oil to my hair in that order.
6. Detangle with thin tooth comb- This is a method that's worked for me and my curls. I use it when I am going to put my hair in pineapples or small puffs. It helps to smooth the strands out.
7. Use rubber bands to put my hair in pineapples - I keep my hair in pineapples for the first 2- 3 days of the week, then I remove them and fluff my hair out for a TWA.

Every Few Months
1. Protein Treatment - Based on the amount of styling and manipulation of my hair, I usually need a protein conditioner ever 2-3 months.
Note on Trimming - Since my second Big Chop, I haven't needed to trim my hair, but I usually trim it as needed.
