Happy Friday everyone, I have been making my own Shea Butter mixture slowly, over the past 2 months lol. I used Shea Butter when I had a T.W.A.. But, I haven't used it on my hair much, lately. I had a bunch of ingredients that I wanted to try to mix together, so I figured why not try a Shea Butter mixture. I have read many websites that have claimed that Shea Butter (by itself) is a good moisturizer for your hair. In my experience Shea Butter has only worked in sealing the moisture in my hair. If I applied Shea Butter to my hair, it would look shiny but would dry out and become brittle. So, I would say that Shea Butter is a good sealant. If you apply water or a moisturizer on your hair, and then apply the Shea Butter on top, you would get good results.  I used an 8oz container of raw Shea Butter mixed with Olive Oil for my mixture. Hey everyone! I have been having trouble with dry scalp and dandruff, because I haven't been using Selsun Blue. I haven't been using any type of shampoo; I've only been using my Castile soap mixture.   A while back, I bought 100% pure Tea Tree Oil from Whole Foods. It costs about $11.00 for the 2Fl Oz bottle above. I had been using the Hollywood brand, but I think the real oil is better. I researched the benefits of it, on a few websites including KinkyCoilyCurlyMe & Daily Glow . Today, I did a pre-poo with Castor Oil on my hair and the Tea Tree Oil on my scalp. I also put about 10 drops in my Castile soap mixture to cleanse my hair. It was recommended that you use the Tea Tree Oil on your scalp daily. However, the fragrance is very strong. I might try to apply it to my scalp at night. I will give you all an update soon!

The package contained 1 small spray bottle and 2 push-cap tops. I've been doing twist outs daily, all week long and concentrating on keeping my ends moisturized. Things Needed for My Nightly Twists 1. Cantu Coconut Curling Cream 2. Hey my naturals! This week I bought the Au Naturale Creme Glaze by Dark & Lovely, but I haven't tried it yet. The label says that the product has Mango Oil and Bamboo Milk. Bamboo Milk??? I didn't know Bamboo plants contained milk lol. I did some research and found that bamboo extract (milk) is actually beneficial to hair. NaturalNews.com says, "Many people seek to improve the health of their hair, and bamboo extract can help many users reach that goal by keeping hair ducts clear." The article continues by saying that the extract can remove build up.  I will take Ella Joyce's advice on trying new products, by trying the product on a small section of hair.  Hey everyone! March 3, 2013 made 2 years that I've been natural! Yayy! Please do not use the length of my hair as a barometer for length, because I have cut and trimmed my hair several times. I have been wearing mini-twists for the past 3 weeks. I'm going to keep the current installment of twists in for about another week. Then, I might redo them or wear some afro styles. I miss my hair lol! I wanted to post the technique of removing mini-twists by Naptural85 . When you unravel the two sections of the mini-twists, unravel the two sections (individually) and remove the shed hair. This helps to aid in the detangling process.

If we are going to let God, be God in our lives, then we have to know that He will do new things in our lives. Isaiah 43: 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. This means that He will make a way out of no way! We cannot look at our situations and think that we automatically know the route in which He will take to get us to where He wants us to to be, or the problem that we need solved. You have to trust in the Lord  and keep your faith in Him. This also means that we cannot look at everyone else's situation and think that God is going to do things the exact same way that He did in someone else's life, in the same situation.
