Celebrities Show Their Love and Support for Jussie Smollet After Hate Crime Attack (photo cred: Instagram) Story Update! 3/26/2019 All criminal charges against   Jussie Smollett have been dropped. His record was reportedly expunged. Smollet is still being investigated by the FBI for allegedly sending a death threat to himself.  Story Update! 3/18/2019   Jussie Smollett was indicted on 16 counts of felony charges by a grand jury for allegedly lying to the Chicago police about the attack. Since then, many celebrities have withdrawn their support of the Empire actor. If you look below you can see that a couple of the Instagram posts in support of him have been removed. Jussie Smollett still maintains that he is innocent. This past week, an episode with Smollett on Empire aired on FOX. This weekend, she rocked a braided bun for the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The actress' hair was braided into small and large cornrows going into the bun. Lathan plays the character Trudy Thomas in the film Native Son , which premiered at the Sundance Festival. The festival is from Thursday, January 24th - Sunday,  February 3rd. The 47-year-old actress Big Chopped in 2017 for the Netflix movie role Nappily Ever After . Since then, Sanaa Lathan has been switching between natural hair and protective hairstyles. 1BlessedNatural: Breaking Down the Beef Between Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss Story Updated! Do you know the difference between relevancy and success? Well, that topic fueled the argument between Tamar Braxton ( Braxton Family Values)  and Kandi Burruss ( The Real Housewives of Atlanta)  on CBS' Celebrity Big Brother this week. Both Braxton and Burruss acknowledged in the first episode that they had past beef. I watched the dispute for myself to break down what happened. Tamar asked about Kandi cooking after work and she inferred that she didn't have time because she was always getting invited to events. 1BlessedNatural: Keke Palmer Shows Off Hair Post Big Chop KeKe Palmer wants us to know that her hair is laid or silk pressed without chemicals! Today, the 25-year-old posted a funny video on Instagram explaining that she just got her hair done and it was doing well after having done the Big Chop in spring of 2017. Palmer said, "I got my hair laid, slayed, organic. You know when they use or organic that mean it's safe. It's an organic lay..." LOL!  She didn't say exactly what was done but one of her hashtags was #littletonoheat and her hair appeared to be silk pressed using a thermal heat straightening product. Keke Palmer's hair was done by owner, Ms. Kriyyah, of the Who Is Shee salon in ATL, which specializes in silk presses.
