Today, I wanted to talk about putting your own tip in the tip jar. Yesterday, one of my close "friend girls" (as my sister would say) and I went to an ice cream parlor. The server seemed to be a  polite young man who looked like he was about 14 or 15 years old. After we finished eating our ice cream, we asked for the check. The amount owed was a little over $8.00. So, I gave the young man a $10.00 bill and waited for my change. He walked over to the tip jar and dropped my change into it. My friend said, "Well, he got his tip!" After we got outside, I told my friend that the young man reminded me of a couple of photos that had been circulating around the Internet. When we pray for something, we believe by faith that it is already done. We don't rely on the things we see in the natural or physical world. Ever since I was child, I always knew that the plan for my life was different. God took his time developing areas of my life. Lately, I have found that God's guidance is given within His perfect timing. I have wanted things in the past in terms of goals, but I wondered why I didn't have the drive or the spiritual guidance to make it happen at that time. Today, my epiphany was that God gives us guidance but it is all within His perfect timing. For example, you can look at a painting of a waterfall 100 times, and only see a waterfall. Deborah L. Tillman is best known as THE parenting expert on Lifetime's   hit show, "America's Supernanny" . Along with being America's favorite "supernanny", Tillman is also the owner of 3 childcare centers in Alexandria, Virginia, and the author of the book, Stepping Out on Faith: How to Open a Quality Childcare Center. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Last week, I received the blessing of interviewing this inspirational woman. Although Tillman is not natural, she says she will get there one day. Because she has a soft hair texture, she only gets a perm every 4-6 months. But, she doesn't like them at all. They do help her get through the summer months. Happy Monday everyone, I wrote a post a few posts ago about letting God, be God in your life . Today I am posting a continuation of that message that God will do a NEW THING in your life. If we are going to let God, be God in our lives, then we have to know that He will do new things in our lives. Isaiah 43: 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. This means that He will make a way out of no way! We cannot look at our situations and think that we automatically know the route in which He will take to get us to where He wants us to to be, or the problem that we need solved. You have to trust in the Lord  and keep your faith in Him. This also means that we cannot look at everyone else's situation and think that God is going to do things the exact same way that He did in someone else's life, in the same situation. Day 6 with mini two strand twists American culture promotes the fountain of youth like it is the answer to all things that are important. Wrinkles and grey hair are shunned and excommunicated by serums and hair color boxes. Very few people actually "see the beauty in growing old" like India. Arie said. Every day that we turn on the television, there seems to be more and more people that did not get a chance to see those wrinkles in the mirror or decide that the grey strands could stay a little while longer. This fact makes our lives precious, and those issues that we viewed as being rivers become ponds.  Yesterday during Senior Day, we received the honor of showing our appreciation to the seniors in our congregation. At the end of the service, one young woman stood up from the crowd of seniors and revealed that she was 71 years old. I was shocked because she looked like she was in her 40's. Her presence confirmed a lesson that God had been trying to teach me lately....
