Two-strand twisted, beaded boby pin updo by 1 BlessedNatural Hi everyone, If you're looking for a quick and easy way to jazz up your natural hair style, try creating beaded bobby pins! Items Needed 1. hair beads 2. bobby or hair pins (black or brown)- I used brown pins, but black pins would work better. Directions 1.  Take your favorite color bead and loop it around onto the hair pin or bobby pin. I used the medium-sized hair beads, but you can use the small ones. Some of them can loop all the way around to the bend of the pin, making the pin easier to hide.  The beaded pins are great to accessorize your updos! This weekend, I visited Shoppers World. They had a lot of inexpensive hair and beauty accessories. Most of the items I purchased were under $2.00. I found the following items: 1. 3-pack of exfoliating facial sponges for 99 cents- Normally, 1 sponge would cost you anywhere from $2.00-$5.00. Exfoliating sponges are great for removing dirt and oil from your skin. You can also use facial loofah sponges , which can be found at select drug, grocery, and beauty supply stores. 2. 1- pack of 30 stretchy bands for 99 cents- You can find stretchy bands at most dollar stores. I love using stretch bands when I do the Banding Method . 3. 4-pcs. nail kit for 1.99- I've seen nail kits that start at $4.00 and up. 4. 1-pack of 60 colorful bobby pins for 0.99- I've seen bobby pins that cost $1.00, but often times the color comes off easily. I will have to see how well these pins hold up. What are your favorite hair accessories to buy at a discount or dollar store?

I don't know what happened to my flat twists with puff style. It's almost like my hair said, "The heck with this." LOL. It just started to not look right despite me trying to fix it. I rocked the style for about a week and a half. I redid the twist every two days. The puff was redone every day. Hmmm. Moving on!  Last night, I moisturized and sealed my hair. Afterwards, I flat twisted my bang area. Then, I two-strand  twisted the back section. I pinned the bang to the side using bobby pins. This morning, I did a puff and then added a hot pink comb for decoration. I replaced the bobby pins with the less noticeable hair pins. Have you ever had a style that just wouldn't look right regardless of what you did to it?

This is the first style for my mini braids . Please excuse my crooked headband lol. I've been wearing the bun with headband style for the last couple of days, but I want to avoid breakage from the friction of the headband. It's time to find a new style! I use bobby pins to pin down the shorter braids in my bang area. Also, June 3, 2013 made 27 months that I've been natural :-) Thank God for the journey!

It's been almost two weeks since I've washed my hair. I've cowashed it 2 or 3 times, but I haven't used my Castile soap mixture . My hair has been really dirty because of the pollen, lint, and everything else floating in the air lol. Last night, I banded my hair after washing and conditioning it. I wanted to sleep with my hair banded, so I used Bobby pins to pin the sections towards the back. It's also a great method to get your hair straighter than you would if you were to just band your hair. I'm not sure of the style that I want yet, buut, I think it will be easier to keep my hair cleaner when it's stretched, than when it's curly. If I need to apply a moisturizer and run a comb through, I will hit less tangles. Are you doing your hair today?

So, I have some tips that may help you get your natural hair vacation bag together. Moisturizer and Sealant In order to determine the items you need for your hair during vacation, it's important to distinguish needs vs. wants. If your hair thrives on moisture, then you need to pack a moisturizer and a sealant. You can chose a product or make your own product. Happy Friday everyone, Thank God that we made it through the week. It is only by Him that I made it through today! In hair related news, I recently bought a 3-pack of travel size bottles from DEALS discount store. I think I paid a little over $1.00 for them. The package contained 1 small spray bottle and 2 push-cap tops. I've been doing twist outs daily, all week long and concentrating on keeping my ends moisturized. Things Needed for My Nightly Twists 1. Cantu Coconut Curling Cream 2.
