Lupita Rocks Natural Hairstyle Inspired by the Rwandan Amasunzu to the Oscars! (photo cred: Intstagram/ Vernon Francois) Last night, Lupita rocked a natural hairstyle inspired by the Rwandan Amasunzu to the 90th Annual Academy Awards in Los, Angeles. The Amasunzu is a traditional hairstyle that was worn by single Rwandan men and women in the 1800's and 1900's and revealed their status. The hair was cut and shaped for the style. Lupita Nyong'o's style was done by celebrity hairstylist Vernon Francois. The style consisted of half circular buns with gold thread woven through them. The back of her hair was shaved at the bottom.
