Protective Style: Drawstring Afro Ponytail

Afro Puff Ponytail  Natural hair blow out My sister Kay's hair is very course and straight. She stopped relaxing her hair in December (5 months), and she's waiting for her hair to grow to her shoulders. So, Kay has been doing a lot of protective styling. After removing her cornrows, she blow dried her hair and put a drawstring Afro Puff ponytail in her hair.

Coil Out Results

Coil Out Results Hey Everyone, After leaving my finger coils in for a week. I decided to pull them a part for a coil out. I rubbed olive oil on my hair and fingers before separating the strands. Here's my results!

Finger Coils Revisited

Finger Coils on TWA (protective style) Ok, so I have been doing finger coils every week for the past month. I love the fact that they last a long time. I sleep on a satin pillow case, and it doesn't disturb the finger coils much. Mine usually last for about a week. After the third day, I rub olive oil in my hands, through my parts and twists, especially the ends.  I've decided to do them smaller than my first time. I had a hard time twisting my hair because the back has really small curls (from the Garnier Fructis ) that were hard to pick up. I had to stretch my hair a bit, using butterfly clips (pic in the last post). I used a water bottle, Shea butter, and gel (Eco Styler Olive Oil mixed with Hawaiian Silky Activator Gel) to create the look. The style took me about 4 hours to finish. Have you tried doing your own finger coils?

Natural Hair Product Review: Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner

Hey Everyone! I have a new favorite conditioner, Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine. I bought this conditioner a long time ago, when I was still perming my hair. I didn't like the way it felt, but my natural hair loves it. Here are some of the ingredients: Aqua/Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Amodimethlcone, Pyrus Malus/Apple Fruit Extract... My hair was very soft, moisturized, and curly after using this product. I sat under a heating bonnet for about 10 minutes, and then washed it out.
