I created flat twists in my bang area and sides. Then, I twisted, pinned (with hair pins), and tucked them underneath each other to create a design. The back portion was put into a puff.  The hairstyle took about 20-30 minutes. Next time, I will probably do it in less time, because I was making up the style as I went along. If you are a " Walking Dead " fan, last night may have been one of the best episodes for you (smile). The writers for the show have done a very good job!  #teamWalkingDead lol.  In hair-related news, I removed my mini two-strand twists on Friday. My hair was finger detangled, moisturized, and sealed.  I've been rocking a chunky two-strand twist, pin curl out for the past couple of days. I plan to wash my hair today. It's always funny how my hair seems to look the best when I need a wash, lol. Thank God, my hair is almost back to normal from the protein overload . This week, I may be able to start using my products with protein in them. The decision will be made after I wash my hair. My sister C, liked my medium two-strand twist, pin curl out so much, that she asked me to do her hair the same way:-) It took me about 3 hours to finger part and complete twists which where a little smaller than mine. I used a spritz water bottle, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, and Coconut Oil on her hair. When I was twisting her hair, C told me she wanted me to make a bang section in the front to hide her forehead a bit. Although her hair in the front is very long, I knew the pin curls would make it shrink up a bit. So, when I made the twists, I twisted them towards the front for her bang. Afterwards, I created 4 pin curls in her hair. She had 3 in the back and 1 in the front bang area. She kept her pin curls in for 1 night. In the morning, her hair was very full, bouncy, and soft We decided on the bun with bang hairstyle. Hi everyone! This weekend, I took out my mini two-strand twists. I must say... I really missed my hair lol :-)

Beaded flat twist natural hairstyle Happy Saturday everyone! I have to say that God is good! I am blessed to be alive... I have been feel adventurous and wanting to put beads in my hair lol. I know... little girl status lol. Two weeks ago, I bought a pack of black, clear, and white beads from my local beauty supply store. I made diagonal flat twists in the front (bang) area of my hair.  Then I parted two vertical sections above my ear, and flat twisted them. Use a bobby pin to put the beads in your hair. Then, I hooked a small bobby pin to the middle of the twist and pulled it through the beads. Some bead packs come with a hook to help put them in your hair. Next, I took the end of the twists and pinned them to the top of my hair (not too tight). You can also flat twist you hair in an upward direction, instead of pinning them. The fro part of my hair had already been bantu-knotted, so I put on a headband and was good to go :-)

Happy Sunday everyone! On Friday, I couldn't take it any longer, so I washed my hair. It didn't take me as long as usual. It took me about 2 hours. I washed my hair in 4 sections and applied conditioner to each section. I tried finger detangling my hair only. The process went smoothly. Saturday I wore my hair in a twist out, but my afro was not stretched enough to my liking. Last night, I put m hair in 8 sections, two strand twisted, and bantu-knotted them.  This morning I attempted another bang style with a regular plastic headband, and I was pleased :-) I had been thinking about flat ironing my hair, but I was too chicken to go through with it lol. I'm not about to be dealing with heat damage. I've dealt with that before . The Mini- Twist Style Challenge was fun because I was able to really challenge and push myself to work with my hair. Yesterday, I wore my mini twist, twist out (puff) in a headband with a bang. I wasn't too thrilled with the way it looked on me, but I was happy to try something new.  I really like playing around with the bang. Next time, I may just two strand twist it. I can't wait to wash my hair! lol
