In an Instagram post, the 23-year-old said, "Since I was young, my mom always made my birthdays spectacular. This year, she got a horse (laughing/crying emoji)." In an Instagram video, she perfectly described the reason why it can be extremely hard to heal from adult triggers or flashbacks linked to your childhood. Seales said that a friend of hers who is in therapy asked why the healing process took so long. She said, "I think the reason why this be taking so long is because when you're trying to communicate with your inner child, it takes a minute for them to actually elucidate the point." Model and creator of the clothing line Flexin' In My Complexion Kheris Rogers has signed with Columbia Records' Jam Jr. and joined the girl group Run the World. The group is a collaboration between Jam Jr. and Justice clothing company. Rogers' other group members include Hayley LeBlanc, Jessalyn Grace, and Corrine Joy. The 13-year-old entrepreneur made her announcement on  Instagram and said she spent Juneteenth celebrating her accomplishments with her friends and family. The video features him in a booth singing as part of Vevo's Live Sessions series. "Let Go" was released back in January of this year with a lyric video for the song. In an interview with Tammi Mac, Mali told the talk show host that "Let Go" was about him letting go of excuses for not doing what he needed to do in the music industry. The 32-year-old also said it was about him holding onto God's word and trying not to fall into temptation. Mali also released a Live Sessions video for the song "Mo'Lo" (Like You). The company's action is in response to the recent Black Lives Matter movement involving protests of the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor . Aunt Jemima products include pancake mix, syrup, cornmeal, and grits. To understand why the removal of the Aunt Jemima brand is significant, you must understand the character's origin. Aunt Jemima's character was created in the 1880s. She was based on the idea of the Black mammy. The Oxford dictionary defines mammy as "offensive." It is "(formerly in the southern US) a black nursemaid or nanny in charge of white children." As a result, the mammy was seen as warm, happy, servants, and/or slaves of white families. Breonna Taylor On March 13th, 26-year-old EMT worker Breonna Taylor was shot and killed in her home by three officers of the Louisville Metro Police Department. Today, Beyonce penned an open letter to the Kentucky Attorney General Cameron demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. It's a sad and frustrating thing to see that all of this time has passed and still no justice has been served! Last Thursday, "Breonna's Law" was passed by the Louisville Metro Council banning no-knock warrants, but still, Taylor's killers are free. Why do we have to keep demanding for justice to be served when it should already be done? Officers Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove fired a total of 22 shots and 8 of them hit Breonna Taylor.
