Happy Monday, my blessed naturals, Since I' went natural, I do not use hair grease hardly ever on my hair. If you're like me, you may have jars of it left over from relaxing your hair in the past. What do you do with them? Well, I've come up with 3 alternative uses for hair grease. These uses are mainly for the petrolatum or petroleum-based and beeswax hair greases. Please note: Before using any products on your skin, I would suggest researching the ingredients to ensure that they are safe to use on your body. 1. Dry, cracked feet - You might have already heard about this remedy for dry and cracked feet. After showering at night, apply a generous amount of the hair grease to your damp feet, and then put on socks. This method will help lock in the moisture. Because your feet will sweat overnight, they will soften up. If you have a severe case of dry feet, it may take 2 or 3 treatments.  2. Hey my naturals! This week I bought the Au Naturale Creme Glaze by Dark & Lovely, but I haven't tried it yet. The label says that the product has Mango Oil and Bamboo Milk. Bamboo Milk??? I didn't know Bamboo plants contained milk lol. I did some research and found that bamboo extract (milk) is actually beneficial to hair. NaturalNews.com says, "Many people seek to improve the health of their hair, and bamboo extract can help many users reach that goal by keeping hair ducts clear." The article continues by saying that the extract can remove build up.  I will take Ella Joyce's advice on trying new products, by trying the product on a small section of hair. Happy Monday everyone! I've decided to do a length check for you guys. I don't do them often because I feel like it's like the old saying that "a watch pot never boils" lol. My last length check was in August when I redid one of my micro braids.  This is my hair 9 months after my big chop. I have trimmed my hair twice since then.   Hey everyone,  I hope that you had a great day... I have been wanting to post this pic for awhile, but I kept forgetting to do it... The pic was taken back in 2009. I would put sponge rollers in my hair after washing it to give it a somewhat naturally curly look. I would do this when I did not want to relax my hair right away. During this particular week, I had worn my hair curly and decided to go to a Dominican doobie salon to get a perm and doobie. My hair was as kinky as it could possibly be with a perm. I will never forget how the stylist looked at me. She was an angry woman any way, and the sight of my hair made it worst. She handed me a wide tooth comb and told me to comb it out. I was happy because she probably would have combed my hair out. This whole experience was my punishment for letting my hair get "nappy". I have been doing twist outs all week.  I love the level of moisture in my hair by the end of the week lol Those of you with questions about hair type... I don't know my "hair type". I gave up on the "hair typing" a long time ago. I have many different textures of hair on my head. I am slowly but surely learning how to care for my hair.

They can pick up a lot of oil and dirt. So, I usually take a small amount of shampoo and clean my combs, brushes, and clips. You can also use a mild soap.
