Happy Sunday everyone! I hope that you all had a blessed day. Church service was good today. My pastor preached about the fact that saved people still have struggles, and we should not judge. We should continue to thank and rely on the Lord through our struggles. The message was based out of Romans 7:25 that says, " I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin". In hair related news, my hair has grown a lot since November. Because of the mini-twists and the growth, my hair is more stretched than it was before the twists. It has also increased in thickness. I was washing and detangling my hair every week, but I've switched to every two weeks. I have been wearing two big flat twists in the front of my hair and a twist out in the back. At night, I apply the Roots of Nature Shea Butter and Green Tea and Grape Seed Oil to my hair hair, at night and then put my hair in...

  Happy Tuesday! I have been applying nothing but Grape Seed Oil to my hair every night for the past week 1/2. I sleep with a satin bonnet, wake up, fluff, headband (or not), and go!

Image Source Yesterday, we lost one of the best singers of our time. Even though many of us did not know her personally, we felt like we did. I am glad that we were given the chance to experience Whitney's talents and abilities. She has inspired more people than she will ever know. I thank God for that. Whitney, you will be truly missed! Hey everyone, I was visiting a friend's house when she showed me the Coconut Oil by Cococare. I was so excited lol. I usually buy a jar of Coconut Oil at Walmart which is usually around $7.00. I rushed to my local beauty supply store to get some. They had the 4 oz. jars for $2.49 ea. Jackpot! lol. I bought two. They should last me for awhile because you only need to use a small amount. Cococare also makes Cocoa Butter products.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday, Thank God, I made it through this week! If you read my last post, then you know that I retwisted my mini-two strand twists on day 27. This time it only took me 4 hours to complete after washing, deep conditioning, banding, and blow drying (on cool) my hair. Plus, I made the twists a little smaller this time. Because my hair has been stretched from the twists, there has been less tangles than if I had kept my hair in twist-outs. I usually pin my hair on the sides. After about three days, my twists puff up from the steam in the shower and result in a style of their own, and I like it :-) I did not lose a lot hair after detangling. It is said that the average person sheds 100 strands of hair per day. But, that amount has always been a little more for me. My grandmother used to say that I was lucky that I didn't go bald lol.... blessed! I was shocked to find that I did not lose a large amount of hair when removing my twists during week 2. Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are doing well. I am recovering from a cold, and thank God because I hate feeling sick. In hair related news, I took out my twists this morning and retwisted my hair. I'm glad to see that this blog not only helps others, but it helps me remember my routines lol. I really thought that I had made it to the 1 month mark with my twists, but this blog says it is 5 days shy of a month womp womp lol...Here is a twist-out. I will be posting pics of my new two strands soon. Oh yeah, yesterday marked my 11 month natural hair anniversary! Yayy! God is good.
