My Experience Recovering from Protein Overload

Recovering from protein-overload - after my wash and deep condition Hey my blessed naturals! Yesterday, I washed my hair with the Come Clean shampoo by Kinky-Curly Knot Today to clarify  my hair.  I spent a little over $12.00 for a bottle at my local beauty supply store. I love this shampoo because you do not need to use a lot to lather up. A little goes a long way! My curls started to come back a little after using the shampooing.I deep conditioned my hair with the Almond and Shea Butter with conditioner by Suave. I chose the Suave conditioner because it doesn't have protein in it. After applying the conditioner, I put a conditioning cap on and sat under the heating cap for 20-30 mins. Then I left the conditioning cap on my hair for an additional 3 hours just to get the moisture back into my strands. Some people suggested doing an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse after rinsing the conditioner out. I'm going to do more research on it. It might try it next wash.  Af...

Jojoba/Tea Tree Oil Pre-poo and Two Strand Twists

Last week, I applied Tea Tree Oil (for my dandruff) and Jojoba Oil to my hair as a pre-poo. I wore a plastic cap for about 20 minutes before shampooing my hair. This wash day was the first time that I tried removing shed hair with my fingers, while my hair was dry.  I used a dandruff shampoo and regular shampoo to cleanse my hair and scalp lol. For some reason, my scalp does not get clean easily, especially after adding a conditioner. I also have to be sure that I rub my edges with the shampoo. If not, I will end up with build-up after shampooing my hair. After applying Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and Cantu Creamy Hair Lotion, I banded my hair on the first day. The next day, I installed two-strand twists.

Gold 'N Hot  Conditioning Heat Cap Hi Everyone, This review is for Charish and anyone else who wants the scoop on the Gold 'N Hot Conditioning Heat Caps. Price: I paid $28.00 and some change. I have seen them listed online for as high as $33.00 Where: Beauty Supply Store- It was the least inexpensive one that I saw on the shelf. Deep Conditioning I applied a conditioner to my hair and then put on a plastic conditioning cap. I put the Gold 'N Hot Conditioning Heat Cap on my head and secured the strings under my chin. The cap resembles a hooded dryer. The cap comes with a small remote with the three settings (Low, Med, High) above. I usually place my setting at "high", and end up falling asleep because it's so relaxing lol. You can sit under your heating cap for 15-30 minutes. Performance: I have not tried many heating caps. But, the Gold 'N Hot Conditioning Heat Cap does the job. After I take the plastic cap off of my hair, ...
