1BlessedNatural- Natural Hair Update: Mini Twists, Trim, and Pin Curl Out  Happy Tuesday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all are having a great week! This past Friday, I washed, deep conditioned, and mini-twisted my hair to trim it. I probably should have done it two weeks ago, but I was being lazy. Two nights ago, I applied a small amount of aloe vera gel to medium-size sections of my hair, two-strand twisted, and pin curled it. In the morning, I unraveled them for some curly twists. 1BlessedNatural: Results of My Banded and Pin Curl Twist-Out Hey my blessed naturals! Last time , I promised you all that I would share pictures of my banded/twisted pin curl twist-out results. I did it Tuesday night for Wednesday. I used my usual products for the style including Cantu Creamy Hair Lotion (listed below) and 100% coconut oil. The style was done on hair that had already been twisted a couple of days before. I was very happy with my results. My roots were smoother, but my hair was puffy, fuller, well defined, and curled. I didn't have time to take a picture of my hair when I first finished taking all of the bands out of my hair. I'd gotten back and put my hair in a puff before remembering to take a picture lol. 1BlessedNatural: Another Flat Twist, Twist-Out Happy Monday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all had a great weekend. I did a flat twist, twist out on Sunday. Friday, I washed, deep conditioned, and banded my hair. Saturday night, I did medium sized twists. I parted my hair across my crown and twisted it straight down the back and sides. The front was twisted towards my eye brows. My hair was spritzed with water beforehand. Cantu Creamy Hair lotion was applied to each section before sealing with coconut oil. Afterwards I grabbed the ends of a few flat twists (at a time), pin curled, and secured them with a bobby pin.  In the morning, I unraveled the twists and fluffed them out with my fingers. 1BlessedNatural: Pin Curl Twist-Out, Moisture, and Natural Hair Ad Talk Happy Monday, my blessed naturals, I hope you all are having a great start to your week. Since I haven't done a twist-out in awhile, I decided to do one this weekend. I used the SheaMoisture Curl Enhancing Smoothi e and Extra Virgin Olive Oil on my hair before twisting and pin curling it. My hair gets moisturized to the core when I apply a moisturizer, two-strand twist, and pin curl it. Because the hair is clumped together, the moisture doesn't evaporate as quickly; it has more time to penetrate the strands. You all may know how much I love puffs, lol! The "Linked Cornrows with Puff"style is fairly quick and easy... Items Needed   1. Rat tail comb (for parting) 2. Sectioning Clips 3. hair pins   Step 1:  Make a 1-inch wide part from the top of your ear to the top of the other ear. Step 2:   Divide the the large section into small rectangular sections. Step 3:   Cornrow each section towards the front of your face. (optional)--> You may cornrow your hair part of the way down, and start two-strand twisting the rest of the section. I like this option because it makes the sections easier to unravel when I am taking them out. Step 4:   Twist or cornrow the twists together, downward towards both ears (on both sides). My twist outs are more defined when I do pin curls, than when I do regular twist outs.   What hairstyle are you wearing today?

Happy Sunday! The night before last, I did another updo. I grabbed sections of my hair and twisted them upward. Then I pin curled the sections and used hair pins to secure them. The few twists in the bang area were pinned to the side. I am already plotting on taking the braids out, and it's only been a week. I might do more mini twists . I like them better than mini braids.  I will keep you all updated!

My sister C, liked my medium two-strand twist, pin curl out so much, that she asked me to do her hair the same way:-) It took me about 3 hours to finger part and complete twists which where a little smaller than mine. I used a spritz water bottle, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, and Coconut Oil on her hair. When I was twisting her hair, C told me she wanted me to make a bang section in the front to hide her forehead a bit. Although her hair in the front is very long, I knew the pin curls would make it shrink up a bit. So, when I made the twists, I twisted them towards the front for her bang. Afterwards, I created 4 pin curls in her hair. She had 3 in the back and 1 in the front bang area. She kept her pin curls in for 1 night. In the morning, her hair was very full, bouncy, and soft We decided on the bun with bang hairstyle. Hey everyone, I hope you are enjoying your day. I wanted to share the results of my two-strand twist, pin curls. I've kept the pin curls in my hair for about two days. My hair was still moisturized from root to tip due to the fact that my hair was tucked. It's also been very humid. The back of my hair was separated. I didn't care though, lol. I pulled my hair apart as best as I could, and went ahead and rocked it anyway. The two-strand pin curls are a great alternative if you do not want to put rollers in your hair.
