Let me explain...This weekend, I was a seller at the First Timothy Baptist Church Flea Market in Newark, NJ. God is good! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported! Hey, my blessed naturals! It's been 1 week since I did my single braids for the first time . I've been enjoying the fact that I don't have to do my hair. Yay for protective styling lol! I keep my hair in a twisted bun style, and I use the African Royale Sheen Spray on my hair and scalp. I also use the Hollywood Beauty Tea Tree Oil on my scalp to combat the itching. I spray my hair every morning, but I've only used the oil once. I plan to cleanse my scalp next week. Yesterday, I took my hair down spritzed, oiled, and put it back up into a bun. Since my hair is in a protective style, I've had more time to work on adding more cards to the Ruthie's Greetings Etsy shop. Single Braids: Double Twisted Bun style. Happy Wednesday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all are having a great week. Today, I wanted to share a picture of my double twisted bun style that I did with my single braid extensions. It didn't come out quite as good as I wanted because I cut the braids previously, but I still like the style. I plan to rock the bun for the hot weather. It's great because I don't have to worry about my hair being on my neck. God willing, I will do the same style (neater)when I braid my hair again. Earrings by Taramanda. Happy Tuesday everyone! I have added new Christmas gift tags for purchase to the Ruthie's Greetings Etsy shop! The gift tags feature an original and cute design of a baby with an afro dressed in green pajamas, hugging a red ornament. The ornament has the words "Merry Christmas" written in green letters on the front of it. I created the design on the computer, and then printed it onto white cardstock. "Afro Woman, Merry Christmas" handmade card by Ruthie's Greetings Happy Sunday, I've added the "Afro Woman, Merry Christmas" greeting card o my Etsy shop for purchase.  The "Afro Woman Merry Christmas" African-American greeting card features a hand drawn and cut-out woman with an afro. The woman is dressed in a shawl that decorated with black stripes and dots. Her hair is in an afro decorated with a red, flat plastic flower. The flower is almost fabric-like and textured. The design lays against a green cardstock background. The words "Merry Christmas" are written in black ink. The cardstock adheres to a polkda dot, light and pea green paper. The card is made of quality, deckle edged paper. The deckle edge is colored with red ink. Size: 5 x 6 7/8 in Inside: Blank Envelope: Included This card is great to give to anyone for Christmas.
