Little Girls' Long Rubber Band Twists

1BlessedNatural: Little Girls' Long Rubber Band Twists Happy Sunday, my blessed naturals, I hope you all are enjoying your day! This weekend, I got a chance to snap some photos of 2 of my nieces' long twists. You may remember an article I did back in April which included photos of their hair. This time, Big Sister and Little Sister were rocking medium-size rubber band (two-strand) twists. Their mom said it took 4 hours to complete both of the girls' hair. Although the twists look tight, they're really not. Mom used a product called Nature's Natural Carrot Hair Oil with Shea Butter and Vitamin E on their hair while twisting it. She says the key is that she kept her hands oily while twisting. Keeping the girls' hair in protective styles have greatly helped retain their length. Big Sister Natural's cornrow headband style Happy Monday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all are having a great morning. I'm thankful God woke me up today! Yesterday, I posted Part 1 of the "1BlessedNatural Girls and Guys, Natural Hair Photo Shoot " which featured the older guys and girl. Today, I am posting the hairstyles of the little naturals (smile). Big Sister Natural: You may have seen her styles on my blog before . This time, Big Sister is rocking a braided headband. The style features two interlocked cornrows at the front of her head and two medium sized cornrows. The cornrows are braided around her ears and towards the back of her neck where they hang, hidden by all of her free flowing hair. Her mom said the secret to keeping her hair thick and long was to keep it stretched. She keeps it stretched by blow drying it. This helps to reduce breakage caused by tangles.
