1BlessedNatural: 2016 Natural Hair Length Check and Goals Happy New Year, my blessed naturals! I hope you all are starting it off great! Sunday, I got a chance to do a length check on the back of my hair. The last time I did one with my length check t-shirt was back in March of 2015. Because I haven't been doing a whole lot to my hair, it's been getting thicker and thicker. Plus, I gained about one inch of growth; it went from 6 inches to 7 inches. This time, I really didn't expect to see an increase in the length because of the moisture overload and other breakage issues I experienced last year. But, thank God for progress! This weekend, I did one of my homemade protein treatments , and my hair loved it! My hair tends to lose a lot of protein from washing it every week. The last time I did a protein treatment was this past September. I've said this before, but I can wait longer between treatments when I use my mixture than when I use the store-bought...

3 Years and 1 Month Natural Hair, Length Check

Happy Saturday, my blessed naturals! Many of you may know that March 3, 2014 made 3 years since my Big Chop. Since I had to cut a large amount of hair due to damage caused by protein overload last year, I didn't want to do a length check right away. When I did one last night, I was 2 inches from Bra Strap Length (BSL). My hair is closer to the length it was in October 2013. So, I'm on the right track. My main hair goal was to get my hair back to healthy, and I've reached about 99% of my goal. Thank God (smile).
