When we caught up with each other, she was rocking a cute little puff style that was tied with a scarf. In the back, the scarf was in a bow and the tails hung loose. Since Dominique did not feel like twisting her hair the night before, she worked with the curl definition already present. She used a brush and water to smooth her hair before using the scarf to create a puff . Natural hair puffs are great solutions if you need a cute and quick hairstyle. 1BlessedNatural:  (photo courtesy of Flickr- Gage Skidmore (cropped) - under the   CC BY-SA 2.0) Yesterday, TMZ reported that Halle Berry took her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry to court because he allegedly straightened and highlighted their 6-year old daughter, Nahla Aubry's hair.  According to the report, the judge ruled for the parents to let the little girl's hair grow out naturally. While I think a court visit to make a decision about her daughter's hair is a bit excessive, I agree with Ms. Berry all the way! Their daughter is too young to use harsh chemicals on her hair. Also, fathers' opinions of their daughters can have a large effect on their self-esteem. If the report is true and Gabriel Aubry really straightened and highlighted his daughter's hair, I believe he's dead wrong. We're suppose to be teaching the youth to love themselves. 1BlessedNatural (natural hairstyle): Rubber Band Happy Sunday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all are having a great evening. Since today is my wash day, I decided to try doing a new natural hairstyle before washing my hair. I've been thinking about using rubber bands for a style. I don't use them too much because they can cause your hair to break. The last time I used them was for my beaded two-strand twists . I parted medium sized squares in the front of my hair, then I put rubber bands (loosely) on them. After twisting the sections,  I connected twisted the twists around each other and tucked them under using a hair pin. The back section of my hair was put in a puff. Happy Wednesday, my blessed naturals, In January, I told you all about some hair accessories that my sister gave me. Today, I wore one of the black barrettes. The only problem I had was that they blended in with the color of my hair.. So, I decided to add a little color to the barrettes by applying nail polish. It's a simple, cute, and quick fix. Items Needed 1. Your preferred hair accessory: clip or barrette 2. Your favorite color of nail polish 3. paper towel 4. disposable face mask (optional)- I like to use a face mask whenever I use nail polish to prevent breathing the fumes. 1. Pick your favorite color and began applying the nail polish to the surface of your accessory.   2. When you have applied the desired amount of nail polish to your barrette, let it dry.
