Question of the Week #4: What's the One Thing You Dislike About Natural Hair Maintenance?

   Happy Wednesday everyone! The process of beautification for us entails different things. We always hear the famous quote, "Beauty is pain." Back when I still permed my hair, I hated sitting under the dryer. But it was a necessary evil. As a natural, I dislike the amount of time it takes for me to wash and prep my hair for the week. However, I've managed to get my time down to 45 minutes on a work night. Thank God! lol. This week's question is... What's the one thing you dislike about maintaining your natural hair?

Day 3 with Mini Two-Strand Twists!

This picture was taken on Wednesday. I have been wrapping my twists at night . It has kept them stretched. I love wearing headbands with them :-)

Mini-Twists Maintenance

  Hey everyone, Friday is almost here! Thank God for that!  I have been wearing mini two-strand twists for almost two weeks now. I will be taking them out tomorrow. Every night, I apply Vitamin E Oil by MegaCare to my twists, and I cover my hair with a satin bonnet at night. At about Day 5, my twists started to frizz up in the front, so I retwisted them. My hair was spritzed with water about twice a week. I also used the Shea Butter & Green Tea Moistrizer by Roots of Nature (Softsheen Carson). My twists shrunk up a bit with the water, but they stretched out a bit when I applied the Oil. I love these twists though, because they are low maintenance and look nice.     Styling My Twists I love the idea of being able to braid or twist my hair into a style and keep it. 1 Week Old Finger Coils

My finger coils are now 1 week old. They actually look better at this time, than when they were shorter. After a couple of days, I apply coconut oil to them. Today, I spritz them with water and applied Grape Seed Oil.
