My Review of Season 2/Episode 3 of Cutting It in the ATL

Hey, my blessed naturals! Who else saw the craziness on Season 2/Episode 3 ( Don't Reign on My Parade) of Cutting It in the ATL? (Raises hand) ME! This week, the women attended a parade and things got ridiculous, again! 1BN's Thoughts: Stop It! The episode begins with Dedra and Pat at a cafe talking about the drama between Pat and Maja. Dedra was loving the fact that Pat messed up Maja's shop. I wonder if Pat went after any of the owners of the other $50.00 weave spots... Meanwhile, Maja tells Beautii about Pat's visit to her salon. She also invites Beautii to the Magic City Classic parade in Birmingham, AL, because she is being honored by her alma mater, Alabama's A&M University. Maja presents Beautii with the challenge of selling 100 tickets to her mobile salon to prove her business is one that Maja should invest in, and Beautii is up for the challenge. Next, Mushiya invites LaKenya to the parade in Birmingham. She also says she's...

My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL Reunion Show

Hey, my blessed naturals, This week's reunion show of Cutting It: in the ATL was different. Instead of having all of the girls together at the same time, Maja  (with her tablet) had one-on-one interviews with each of them. @1BlessedNatural its not what I was expecting. I thought that would have everyone on at the same time #CuttingItInTheATL — ♥~Superstar Nic~♥ (@superstarnic23) July 24, 2015 Beautii The first person interviewed was Beautii. Her interaction with Maja gave me a best friends kind of vibe. Maja told Beautii she was inspired to want to do business with the ladies when she came by her shop early in the season. The next subject was Dedra. Beautii said she didn't have a problem with Dedra until she found out she hired LaKenya. She said she even gave Dedra salon advice on a daily basis before then. Both she and Beautii thought Dedra's actions of pulling out and throwing money at Beautii was disrespectful. Maja gave Beautii props for r...

My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL Season Finale

1BlessedNatural: My Review of the Cutting It: in the ATL Season Finale (photo cred: WE tv) Did last night's season finale of Cutting It: in the ATL not end like it was the Mushiya Show or nah? LaKenya has a party to celebrate the opening of her new salon, and the ladies act out. The episode begins with LaKenya in her new salon suite. Maja and Beautii come over to check it out. Maja comes bearing gifts of bundles from her hair line .Beautii comes bearing her hate for the fact that LaKenya is starting off in a suite. Everyone has to start off somewhere. Be supportive and stop hating! Maja shares with the ladies that she is not feeling Dedra's cake move on the last episode . She also unveils her kinky/curly hair extensions and hairdo. She doesn't know what Mushiya is planning. LaKenya says she is throwing a party to celebrate her new journey, but she doesn't want to invite Mushiya, but Beautii is allowed to bring 1 person. Next, Dedra and LaKenya go to the...

My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL Episode 8

1BlessedNatural: My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL Episode 8 (photo cred: WE tv) Hey, my blessed naturals! This week's episode 8 called "Let Them Eat Cake" of Cutting It: in the ATL was the one that made everyone's mouth drop! It begins where we left off last week with Dedra telling her client she found Maja's mugshot and record for supposedly writing bad checks. Straight craziness! Meanwhile, Maja is shopping with her attorney friend and says she still wants a baby. Next, Mushiya announces her new line of natural hair extensions to her staff. My favorite line is when she says, "Call me nappy. I'm okay with it." Yes! She vows that her new line of hair is her secret weapon and will take her competitors down. Okay girl! The naturalista even debuts her theme song, and it has me cracking up! She is too funny. Ms. Beautii J. and her 17-year-old son have a bonding moment at her salon. He makes her aware that he desires to spend more time wi...

My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL - Episode 7

1BlessedNatural - My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL-Episode 7 (photo cred: We tv) Hey, my blessed naturals, Last night's episode 7 of Cutting It: in the ATL was something else. Dedra comes to Maja's house to talk to her about their beef, and Maja calls her out on the fact that she threw money in Beautii's face. I'm happy she said it! Still, Dedra was not trying to acknowledge her wrongdoing. Plus, she was upset that Maja didn't approach her at the gallery. After Maja points out that she is the "common denominator" in a lot of the drama between the girls, it is a wrap for their conversation. Dedra says she really doesn't care about anything else, just if she got hurt during her fight with Beautii and was asked to leave. How do you come to someone's house with drama? I think Dedra wants things her way or it's the highway. After Beautii goes on a radio show expressing that she gets along with some of the salon owners in ATL, she a...

Beautii Decides to Get Her Coins By Herself on Episode 5 of Cutting It: in the ATL

Beautii Decides to Get Her Coins By Herself on Episode 5 of Cutting It: in the ATL (photo cred. WE tv ) Happy Saturday, my blessed naturals, On Thursday's episode of Cutting It: in the ATL  on WE tv, Maja confronts Beautii at her 25th career anniversary celebration about her sending a spy to her shop. Maja meets with LaKenya to discuss doing business together. She tells her to be careful around Dedra. Mushiya and her husband celebrate their 10th anniversary, and we find out she can sing. Who knew! All should be well, but it's not! Before Beautii's celebration, Mushiya warns her that someone told Maja about her sending a spy into her shop. Beautii tells Mushiya not to blow her cover. Little does she know, Mushiya already did it. After Maja confronts Beautii at her celebration, they agree to be upfront with each other about everything. Mushiya also warns LaKenya to watch who she associates herself with, meaning Dedra, but LaKenya doesn't trust her either. ...

My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL- Season 1/ Episode 4

1BlessedNatural- My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL- Season 1/ Episode 4 Happy Friday, my blessed naturals, Last night's episode of Cutting It: in the ATL "Turnt Up Truce" was CRAZY! The beginning of the episode is basically everyone recapping last week's hair show drama with their friends and "gusbands." Meanwhile, Mushiya is back at her salon. The thing I really like about this part of the show is that she reveals her hiring process for new stylists. She let her 2 potential hires wash and attempt to style her husband and another client's hair. She walks over to the woman doing braid extensions to examine her work and tells her the braids have bubbles that can break the client's hair. Then, Mushiya does a sample braid for her, but the young lady is still not successful. Mushiya tells her she cannot allow her to practice at her salon. I thought it was really cool to see her give the stylist constructive criticism. The other stylist was ...

My Review of Cutting It: in the ATL- Season 1/ Episode 3

1BlessedNatural: My Review of Cutting It in the ATL- Season1/Episode 3 Hey my blessed naturals, It has taken me 3 episodes of watching WE tv's new series Cutting It: in the ATL to finally do a review. I was hesitant to watch the show because I thought it was going to be another show about caddy professional women who can't support one another. However, it's not as bad as I thought, with the exception of a lot of the language. I thought last Thursday's episode 3 "Hair Show Showdown" was worth reviewing.  Mushiya and Beautii attend a model casting call to pick their models for the Pro Beauty Hair Show in Macon, Georgia. Mushiya makes it clear that she is there to meet her "components" and not her opponents. I had to laugh at that one! Beautii said she needed to introduce herself to a dictionary. I think Mushiya (who is also natural) provides the comic relief on the show. She is definitely in her own world! Also, I must say her ...
