The actress's thighs and torso were airbrushed to look smaller. The K.C. Undercover star took to social media to voice her concerns. In response to the retouched photo, she said, "These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have." Nyong'o's hair was braided with extension hair in small cornrows into a puff. Two big braids were wrapped around the puff and crossed at her crown area. I thought it was a gorgeous style! Nyong'o wore a long sleeve, black and white striped belted gown that was decorated with a red and green floral print. She wore black and silver earrings and rings. Lupita Nyong'o' and Elmo on Sesame Street This week on Sesame Street, actress Lupita Nyong'o gave Elmo a lesson about "loving the skin you're in." In a less than 2 minute segment, Nyong'o appeared on camera wearing a  pretty multicolored, sleeveless dress. She began by explaining the functions of the skin to Elmo. He then realizes Nyong'o has "beautiful brown skin." Lupita Nyong'o then explains that skin comes in all types of beautiful shades and colors. I love Lupita Nyong'o's way of explaining beauty because it's the perfect message to send to young children. Elmo realizes that he has beautiful red skin. Nyong'o and Elmo ended the segment by stating they both love their own skin. This lesson teaches children their beauty and also shows them the beauty of other races and tones that are different from their own. Now Barbie has gone natural? I don't mean "natural hair." I mean "natural" as in no makeup. Today, a digital cartoon photo of a Barbie-like character popped up on the internet and has gone viral. The photo called "No Make-Up Barbie" was said to originate from Imgur.com credited to Eddi Aguirre. Not only is natural Barbie not wearing any makeup, but she also has freckles, frizzy hair, and braces.  There were several comments made below the photo. One of the comments was made by one commenter saying, "Barbie, real life edition." Although, the photo has been made a joke by many, I think it's a good representation of what "normal" looks like.
