Discount Store: Natural Hair and Beauty Finds!

This weekend, I visited Shoppers World. They had a lot of inexpensive hair and beauty accessories. Most of the items I purchased were under $2.00. I found the following items: 1. 3-pack of exfoliating facial sponges for 99 cents- Normally, 1 sponge would cost you anywhere from $2.00-$5.00. Exfoliating sponges are great for removing dirt and oil from your skin. You can also use facial loofah sponges , which can be found at select drug, grocery, and beauty supply stores. 2. 1- pack of 30 stretchy bands for 99 cents- You can find stretchy bands at most dollar stores. I love using stretch bands when I do the Banding Method . 3. 4-pcs. nail kit for 1.99- I've seen nail kits that start at $4.00 and up. 4. 1-pack of 60 colorful bobby pins for 0.99- I've seen bobby pins that cost $1.00, but often times the color comes off easily. I will have to see how well these pins hold up. What are your favorite hair accessories to buy at a discount or dollar store?

Cocoa Butter Stick Tip

Happy Sunday! I like to use Cocoa Butter sticks on my face to remove blemishes. It can be difficult to push the Cocoa Butter out. I usually run hot water over the tube for 2-3 seconds to loosen it up. Do you use Cocoa Butter sticks?

Loofah Pad's by Market Spa Hey everyone, I hope that you enjoyed your holiday weekend! I wanted to talk a little about skin care. This week I noticed that my face was breaking out. I remember reading online (it may have been someone's blog) that you have to wash your satin/cotton pillow cases often, because the oils and products from your hair can clog your facial pores. I have experienced that first hand lol. While cruising the aisles of Pathmark, I found facial loofahs. I was very excited lol. I had been using the small round loofah's, but the ones below seemed to be of better quality. I like using them, because they exfoliate your skin without being too harsh. In the past, I've used the buff puffs, but they were rough. The loofah's that I found in Pathmark are like the ones for your body (with the band on the back) but smaller. They were $1.59 each. You can find the loofah rounds at certain dollar stores also. I like to use the Morning Burst Shine C...
