1BlessedNatural - Coiled Edges: Rubber Band Cornrow Twists and Puff Style with Flower Clip Happy Memorial Day, my blessed naturals! Thank you to all of you who have served in the armed forces. Yesterday, I had to find a natural style fast! My hair was in bands from the night before. I side-parted my hair, left out my edges, and created 4 curvy cornrow twists from my hairline going back towards my crown area, and 2 going straight down on the side . They were secured with rubber bands, and my edges were finger coiled again. I added a flower clip for decoration. If you’re going to try this style, I would suggest not making your rubber bands too tight. 1BN Kids: Upward Rubber Band, French Braid Into Twisted Bun Style Happy Tuesday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. Little Sister Natural (LSN) is heading back to school with her hair in upward twists into a twisted bun style. I love how her mother did the style because the back was sectioned off into rectangles using rubber bands, split them into two sections, and (correction) two-strand twisted them upward into the top ponytail. The top section was put into a ponytail and sectioned into 2 big twists. The twists were wrapped around and pinned into a bun. LSN has one big twist in her bang area, off to the side. 1BlessedNatural: Little Girls' Long Rubber Band Twists Happy Sunday, my blessed naturals, I hope you all are enjoying your day! This weekend, I got a chance to snap some photos of 2 of my nieces' long twists. You may remember an article I did back in April which included photos of their hair. This time, Big Sister and Little Sister were rocking medium-size rubber band (two-strand) twists. Their mom said it took 4 hours to complete both of the girls' hair. Although the twists look tight, they're really not. Mom used a product called Nature's Natural Carrot Hair Oil with Shea Butter and Vitamin E on their hair while twisting it. She says the key is that she kept her hands oily while twisting. Keeping the girls' hair in protective styles have greatly helped retain their length. 1BlessedNatural (natural hairstyle): Rubber Band Happy Sunday, my blessed naturals! I hope you all are having a great evening. Since today is my wash day, I decided to try doing a new natural hairstyle before washing my hair. I've been thinking about using rubber bands for a style. I don't use them too much because they can cause your hair to break. The last time I used them was for my beaded two-strand twists . I parted medium sized squares in the front of my hair, then I put rubber bands (loosely) on them. After twisting the sections,  I connected twisted the twists around each other and tucked them under using a hair pin. The back section of my hair was put in a puff.
