The art exhibit called, "Windows To My Soul" featured an array of Green's paintings, prints, and drawings. His paintings are vibrant, unique, and full of personality. The artist stated that he has been creating art since he was a child and believes that art is a ministry. Steve Green has been commissioned to create several murals in the Essex County area. Jennifer Hudson Rocks New Pixie Haircut!

Jennifer Hudson sporting her new haircut (photo courtesy of Instagram- ( iamjhud ) This past weekend, singer/actress Jennifer Hudson (Jhud) posted a picture of herself dressed in a snug black dress and rocking a new pixie haircut on Instagram. Hudson debuted her new cut at the "Black Girls Rock" event at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ on Saturday. Because Hudson is known to wear weaves and wigs,  it's  refreshing to see her rock own hair. Hudson is also the spokesperson for Weight Watchers. According to the Huffington Post , the singer lost 80 pounds. She has done a great job in keeping the weight off. Hudson is an inspiration for all who are trying to lose weight and achieve a goal. Montclair GLAM Street Festival Vendors: Soaps, Lotions, Accessories, and More!

Hey everyone! Yesterday, I attended the Montclair Film Festival in Montclair, NJ. There were a few street fairs in celebration of the film festival. Several vendors lined Glenridge Avenue (GLAM!- Glenridge Ave Merchants), selling their goodies.  I was excited to see many of them selling handmade and/or natural products. Because my camera died, I had to use my camera phone. Thank God for it! Surviving Hurricane Sandy: Thank You Lord

This week has been a very difficult week, but I still want to say, "God is good" On Monday, October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy rushed into the East Coast with wind, rain, and trouble. I lost power electricity the night of the storm. The next day, I found the land littered with uprooted trees and down power lines. Trees leaned against houses and cars. Roof shingles and aluminum siding littered the sidewalks and lawns. But, the devastation in my immediate area could not match that in other towns where homes were shifted off their foundation and found in the ocean or in another remote place. There were also homes burned down and lives lost. All I can do is thank God and know that it could have been my home or the livesof my loved ones lost, along with my own. The day after we lost power, my loved one and I walked around the neighborhood looking for an open store to get more food. We found two stores...
