Hey everyone, Meet Ibtihaj! After transitioning for 7 months, she did her Big Chop a little over 3 weeks ago. Current Hair Regimen: Ibtihaj uses a hot oil treatment once a week and cowashes with Vo5 Moisture Milk Conditioner. She also deep conditions with Creme of Nature leave-in conditioner. After applying the products, she uses the heating cap for 15 minutes. Favorite Products: Ibtihaj says she loves essential oils (especially Coconut Oil), water, Eco Styler  gel, and  Aloe Vera gel. Natural Hair Anxiousness Subsiding

My cap matches my shirt! I didn't do that on purpose lol   Hey everyone, I hope you had a good day! If you didn't, please remember that God is still with you and it will get better :-) On to hair business... I have noticed that I am a little less anxious about playing in my hair. When I started transitioning , I was very anxious for my hair to grow.  I wanted to try new styles and washes.I also felt this way when I did my big chop. Now, I am a little over 7 months natural and I am finally calming down a bit lol. Please do not forget that I said, "bit" lol When I first did my big chop, I washed my hair religiously every week. Now, I wash my hair every week and a half to two weeks. I struggled with co-washing my hair today... My busy schedule adds to this also. I have been doing twist outs all week.  I love the level of moisture in my hair by the end of the week lol Those of you with questions about hair type... I don't know my "hair type". I gave up on the "hair typing" a long time ago. I have many different textures of hair on my head. I am slowly but surely learning how to care for my hair.
