Another Cornrow Design with Loc Jewelry and Fro

1BlessedNatural: Another Cornrow Design with Loc Jewelry and Fro Happy Thursday, my blessed naturals! I'm back with another natural hairstyle! Tuesday, I did a new cornrow design at the front of my head and left the back out. I did squiggly parts on each side and 4 cornrows each. After applying one piece of loc jewelry to two of the braids on each side, I braided the cornrows together, rolled them up, and bobby pinned them. As always, my hair was stretched using the banding method.  Here's more pictures: 1BlessedNatural: front view 1BlessedNatural: #tbt 2014 Eritrean Inspired Hairstyle: Front Cornrows, Twists, and Puff What natural hairstyle are you wearing today? Puff and 'Fro with Rubber Band Twist and Cornrow Headband

1BlessedNatural: Puff and Fro with Rubber Band Twist and Cornrow Headband Happy Sunday, my blessed naturals, A few days ago, I did small diagonal cornrows in the front of my head and twisted them to the ends. Then, I connected every two twists together using a rubber band to create a sort of headband. Bobby pins were used to tuck the hair under. I also added some loc jewelry . My edges look tight, but Eco Styler gel was used to smooth them. I slept with a scarf tied around my head overnight. The back section of hair was banded to stretch it out, and I wore it in a puff for the first day. The next day, I wore it in a 'fro. I ended up using a regular headband to keep my hair from flying all over the place LOL. Here are before and after pictures of the style: 1BlessedNatural: cornrowed twists (headband) with back banded to stretch 1BlessedNatural: Day 1 with rubber band twist and cornrowed headband with puff style 1...

Linked Cornrows with Loc Jewelry and Puff

Hey my blessed naturals! If you have been reading my articles for the past month, then you may know that my new favorite hairstyle has been the " Linked Cornrows with Puff " style. In May of this year, I purchased loc jewelry (also known as "hair tubes") by the company, TinaTouch. They are small, decorative metal cylinders with designs carved out of them. The tubes are a little bigger than regular hair beads . Many people use decorative hair tubes or jewelry for their locs, but I decided to try using them for my cornrows. TinaTouch hair tubes I purchased This weekend, I did a hot oil treatment on my hair using Tea Tree Oil and a heating cap. Then, I did a protein treatment using mayonnaise, shampooed, and deep conditioned my strands. My hair was really soft and moisturized after the conditioning. Afterwards, I banded my hair until it was 85% dry. After removing the bands at the front of my hair, 10 sectioned rows were made. I applied moisturiz...
