Yesterday, Tracee Ellis Ross announced her new hair care line called Pattern. The Black-ish star said the products were for people with "curly, coily, and tight textured hair" specifically types 3b to 4c. The line is set to launch online at 9 pm ET on September 9th.

Ross said she'd been working on the line since 2008 when the show Girlfriends ended. The actress also spent an additional 2 years working closely with chemists on the products. She said that all of the ingredients were safe and tested by herself and her panel."I tried 74 different samples to get these samples to phase one," Ross said.

The 46-year-old said Pattern addressed the need for more than a quarter size of conditioner. She also said,"accessible pricing and "gorgeous packaging" were characteristics of her products.

Tracee Ellis Ross said that before she learned to accept herself and went natural that she tried to "beat" her "curls into submission by doing things like applying body lotion, relaxers, and texturizers to it. She even used a clothes iron to straighten it! She said, "Society told me there was a right way to wear my hair and a right way to look." Those thoughts were done away with when Ross went natural. She said, "Now, I just let them be the happy little ringlets and zig zags of joy they want to be."

Tracee Ellis Ross is set to get her own spin-off show of Black-ish called Mixed-ish. The show will focus on Ross' character Rainbow's early life. It will premiere on Tuesday, September 24th on ABC.

Tracee, we see you girl! ❤
