Black Girl Gets Natural Hair Done Twice in China! (photo cred: Instagram/@maryjanebyarm) Imagine going to a foreign country and getting your natural hair done! 22-year-old YouTuber and international college student, Maryjane Byarm got her natural hair done twice in China, and she was surprised by her results! Her purpose for going to the salons was to see if they could do Black people's hair. On November 17, 2017, Maryjane and her sister visited a salon in Shanghai, China. Byarm was nervous and hid behind a pole in front of the salon before going in! After her sister said she visited salons in China all the time to get her hair cut, Byarm responded: "All they gotta do is cut your hair, but they gotta get down and dirty with mine!" My schedule has been crazy busy, but I haven't forgotten about you. I always read about people using different vitamins for hair growth but regular multi-vitamins have always worked for me. My hair seems like it's growing a lot! Back in 2011, I was taking the Women One A Day Vitamins and my hair was growing like crazy. Recently, I started taking them again but they're the ones that actually say "Supports Healthy Hair, Smooth Skin and Strong Nails" (has more Biotin) on the front, and I've noticed that my hair appears to be growing faster than normal. I had a bald patch at the crown of my head from the last time I permed my hair in 2010. Today, I noticed the hair is coming back in. Thank God! The title went to Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, and the runner-up was Miss Columbia Laura Gonzalez. Even though Bennett came in at number 3, her presence represented more than the beauty of natural hair and dark skin. She is also a voice for deaf people. Earlier this year, the Jamaican model started the Davina Bennett Foundation, a non-profit organization to help provide opportunities for deaf people. Tonight, Sonequa Martin-Green wore her natural hair in a cute side (side halo-ish) braid on the Talking Dead show! The actress surprised her fans with an appearance to celebrate the 100th episode of The Walking Dead . *SPOILER ALERT* If you are a Walking Dead fan, you probably know that Green's character "Sasha" was killed last season (season 7). Green is now a lead actress on the " Star Trek Discovery " show. On Talking Dead, the actress' hair was parted on the side and cornrowed around her bang area and past her ear toward the back. Hey, my blessed naturals! I pray you're having a good start to your week! I'm also praying for all of you who were affected by the recent hurricanes and earthquakes. In hair related news... I got tired of styling my hair. Since I've been dealing with protein overload , I found myself having to do my hair too often. It was about 2 weeks ago when I put some jumbo braids in my hair and put them in a bun. I used 5 1/2 packs of Marley hair for the style. This was my first time doing single braids with the sectioned off hair. I usually do them with jumbo braiding hair you have to section off. It was frustrating in the beginning because it kept getting tangled, but I found that it tangles less when you apply a small amount of moisturizer to your hands or hair first. I think next time, I will either do that or spray the hair with braid spray before braiding. Maintenance  I spray my braids with Africa's Best Braid Sheen Spray with Conditioner twi...
