When I was in college, I would do Kool-Aid or Flavoraid rinses on my permed hair. The end result was a redish brown tint. My natural hair color is jet black. So, now that I am a natural I wanted to see how it would come out.   The Flavoraid powder used to be the best one to use because the powder was much finer and would stick to your hair better. Here's what I used: Unsweetened Packs Things You Need: The amount of packs for each flavor that you use depends on the color you're trying to achieve. I usually add more grape if I want my hair to have more of a reddish brown color with the Punch 1 pack of orange 2 packs of grape 2 packs of punch (red) Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-In Conditioner Gloves Butterfly Clips Comb Make sure you get the Unsweetened Packs! Hey everyone! I hope that you are enjoying your week :-) I started getting bored with my TWA. I wanted twists or finger coils without visiting the salon. So, I started watching YouTube videos. I realized the process was simple. So, I gave it a shot.... After I washed and deep conditioned my hair, I applied a leave-in conditioner. I did a test coil with just Eco-Styler gel. But, it wasn't heavy enough to hold my twists. This style actually took me five hours lol. I wasn't sure of the pattern that I wanted in the front & I took my time. Next time, it will probably take an hour or so... I parted each section with my finger and... I used the following products: Water Shea Butter Eco-Styler Olive Oil Gel Hawaiian Silky Activator Gel Then, I twirled the hair around my index finger finger. You can also use a Rat Tail comb also. Hey Everyone! It's been 1 month since my big chop. I can't believe it's been that long. I did a length check with a ruler, in the front of my head. I haven't really cut that since my big chop. It is a little over 2 inches.

I 've decided to do a product review of the Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel after my big chop. Price: About 5 Bucks for a large Container Ingredients: Water [good thing], Carbomer, Hydolyzed Wheat Protein, PVP, Glycerin, Triethanolamine, Sodium Tetrasodium EDTA, Olive oil, Gragrance, Blue #1 Yellow #11 LOVE AND PRIDE [awww lol] Front says "Alcohol free" (definately a good thing) Hold Degree: 10 (Maximum Hold) The Regimen Ok, so it's safe to say that I am not a big fan of gel. However, the Eco Styler gel was pretty good. I used it after co-washing with a Vo-5 conditioner, applying Hawiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker, and moisturizing with Shea Butter mixed with Olive Oil. I applied the ECO Styler gel while my hair was still wet The Results When I was applying the product, it did turn white. But, my hair was not flaky or white when it dried. Today I am having an "ok" hair day lol. I washed and deep conditioned it yesterday. I also applied my Shea Butter mixed with Olive Oil. Some areas of my hair are sticking straight up lol. I fight against the urge to keep cutting them off. Ever since I did my big chop, I get the urge to cut my hair lol a.k.a scissor happy.

I have seen them listed online for as high as $33.00 Where: Beauty Supply Store- It was the least inexpensive one that I saw on the shelf. Deep Conditioning I applied a conditioner to my hair and then put on a plastic conditioning cap. I put the Gold 'N Hot Conditioning Heat Cap on my head and secured the strings under my chin. The cap resembles a hooded dryer. The cap comes with a small remote with the three settings (Low, Med, High) above. I usually place my setting at "high", and end up falling asleep because it's so relaxing lol. You can sit under your heating cap for 15-30 minutes. Performance:  I have not tried many heating caps.
