I hope everyone is having a great week! Last night, I co-washed and banded my hair. My hair needed washing because it's been hot and I've been using Olive Oil on my scalp. I loved the fact that my hair was still moisturized after it was co-washed. This morning I applied water and Ecostyler Olive Oil gel and water to my edges.Then I used a hair tie to create a puff. When we pray for something, we believe by faith that it is already done. We don't rely on the things we see in the natural or physical world. Ever since I was child, I always knew that the plan for my life was different. God took his time developing areas of my life. Lately, I have found that God's guidance is given within His perfect timing. I have wanted things in the past in terms of goals, but I wondered why I didn't have the drive or the spiritual guidance to make it happen at that time. Today, my epiphany was that God gives us guidance but it is all within His perfect timing. For example, you can look at a painting of a waterfall 100 times, and only see a waterfall. Grace Colbert in Cheerios commercial This morning, I scrolled down my Facebook feed to find a message from Fox 29 News about the latest Cheerios commercial. The commercial features a biracial little girl (Grace Colbert) whose mother appears to be white and father appears to be black. The little girl walks into the kitchen and asks her mother if Cheerios is really good for your heart. Her mother says "yes" and explains why. In the next scene, you see her father waking up on the couch with a pile of Cheerios on his shirt. I thought the commercial was very cute. It's nice to see an interracial family on television. I think many people can identify with the family. The Cheerios commercial received cheers from some people, but others weren't so happy with the family. I hope you all enjoyed Part 1 of my series " Natural Girl Gone Thrift Shopping! " I am excited to introduce Part 2... In May, my sister and I got the opportunity to visit the Good Will thrift store. The one thing I really liked about the store was the clothes were organized by colors. This made it really easy to shop. It also cut down on time because, if you are looking for a particular color you can go right to that section without wasting time looking through racks of clothing. The clothing section of the store was much smaller than Unique Thrift Store clothing section. I don't know if it's just me, but often when I am looking at a particular item in a store, someone else needs to look in the same section at the same time or vice versa, lol.  My sister and I started at one end of a rack of shirts. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I just wanted to share some pictures of my hair on the 4th. Since I've been rocking the puff styles a lot lately, it feels weird wearing my hair in a twist out fro, lol. You know I used to wear my hair in twist outs a lot, lol. My flower hair clip is by (BRASH) at Payless Shoesource. They had a buy 1, get 1 half off sale. I bought 2 packs of 3 hair clips. I would have spent around $11.00, but I spent a little over $9.00. Happy Tuesday everyone! If you've read my past posts, then you know I have issues with dry scalp. For the past several months, I have been using Tea Tree Oil in my Castile soap mixture, and it's helped a lot. Recently, my scalp started getting dry again. I started using Olive Oil in a squeeze bottle to oil my scalp, and  I love it! After I wash my hair, I part my hair into big sections. I apply a moisturizer and Coconut oil (to seal my ends). Then I part the big sections into smaller sections and allow a little of the Olive oil to flow onto my scalp. You have to be careful because you can end up with greasy hair. As far as my hair goes, it is usually still a little damp when I apply the oil to my scalp. By the time my hair dries, a lot of the oil has absorbed into my hair and scalp. I purchased this squeeze bottle as part a travel pack of bottles at a dollar store. What's is your favorite kind of oil(s) to use on your hair and scalp?
