1BlessedNatural: How to Get a Well-Defined Flat Twist, Twist-Out Happy Friday, my blessed naturals! If you're wondering how to get a well-defined flat twist, twist-out, this is for you! Sunday, I did one. The night before, I sprayed water my hair with water and coconut oil. If you try this style be sure to make your hair wet enough to help it set when it dries. This will help you avoid the frizzies. I parted and twisted about 8 sections starting at my crown going downward, all around my head. The ends were rolled up and pinned using bobby pins. You can also do the same with rod set rollers. Because they have holes, they allow your hair to dry better. Either way, be sure to give your hair enough time to dry. Some people decide to sit under the dryer, but that is your choice. I let my hair dry overnight. In the morning, I rubbed coconut oil on my fingers and gently unraveled my twists. Hey my blessed naturals! Yesterday , I promised you an update on Little Sister Natural's hair. Like Big Sis, she also got her hair washed and blow dried this past Sunday, and she was not feeling the process at all. You all might already know that if you look at her hair hard she will scream, nevermind touching it! Her hair has grown so much! After LSN's hair was washed, her mom sprayed Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves on it while it was wet. Then, she blow dried it until it was about 95% dry. Afterwards, the hair was parted into big sections. Each section was then divided into 2- 3 sections and  twisted. Big and medium size hair knockers were put on the ends. Side note: I never really wore those as a kid, but I know they could hurt if someone accidentally swung the hair the wrong way lol. 1BlessedNatural: 1BN Kids: Big Sister Natural's Flat Ironed Hair and Length Check Hey my blessed naturals, This past Sunday, Big Sister Natural got her hair washed, straightened, and length checked! After washing and conditioning her hair, we applied TREsemme heat protectant and Ultra Creme Satin-Press to it while it was damp. Her hair was then braided into medium size braids and allowed to dry maybe 90% of the way. Afterwards, BSN's mom blow dried and flat ironed it. Stylist Refuses to Relax Little Girl's Natural Hair, but Wait Until You Hear Why! - Norma's before and after photos (photo cred: Marchel Caldwell) Spring, TX - When a 12-year-old girl named Norma and her mom stated during a consultation with the owner of Studio 9 salon, Marchel Caldwell that they wanted Norma's hair relaxed , the stylist refused to do it. The problem was Norma did not like her thick natural hair. Another alternative would have been to do a Brazilian Blowout --a process that would've involved applying a product to the hair and blow drying it straight. The blowout was not an option because the little girl's mom feared it would exacerbate her asthma. Angela Simmons Visits Kids in Haiti  - Angela and her team with the teen girls (photo cred: ted__jospeh/Instagram) Shout out to entrepreneur and philanthropist, Angela Simmons! Last month, she spent time visiting kids at the Children of Grace Orphanage and Young Girls Home in Haiti last month. At the end of January, the Growing Up Hip Hop star shared some heartwarming moments with them on social media. The orphanage and girls home are owned by the Mission of Grace which is a Christian organization that serves the village of Carries Haiti and nearby communities. Simmons brought gifts like markers, flash cards, and plush toys for the little ones. She also sang and danced with teen girls from the home. By the looks of the photos, everyone enjoyed themselves!
