Alicia Keys and John Legend Confirmed for Next Verzuz Battle Scheduled for Juneteenth! [VIDEO]

Alicia Keys and John Legend will be the next artists to go head-to-head in a Verzuz battle on June 19th at 8PM EST on IG Live. Their battle will be a celebration of Juneteenth, the holiday that commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. The piano-playing singing songwriters seem like the perfect pair to battle it out!

On Instagram, Keys said, Battle of the 🎹 Juneteenth! 🖤🖤🖤 With my brother @johnlegend..." John Legend also posted the announcement on his page, and fans quickly expressed their excitement! One Instagram user said, "Looking forward to this celebration." Another Instagram user said, "This will be so amazing...Both of you are brilliant piano artists...Cannot wait to be apart of this..."

Recent Verzuz battles included Kirk Franklin vs. Fred Hammond, Nelly vs. Ludacris, Beenie Man vs. Bounty Killer, 112 vs. Jagged Edge, Erykah Badu vs. Jill Scott and Teddy Riley vs. Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds. Keys' husband Swizz Beatz along with Timbaland are the founders of Verzuz.
